City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 14, 2023 <br /> Economic Development Authority – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br /> Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br /> Council Member Mosher stated that the Centerville Lions attended Good Neighbor Days <br />in Hugo. <br />e. Love – <br /> North Metro Telecommunications Commission <br /> Police Governing Board – Mayor Love provided no report. <br /> Other Mayoral Reports - Mayor Love stated that he received the current population and <br />growth from Met. Council as of April 1, 2022, we have 1,462 housing units, 1,434 <br />households and 3,912 people. <br /> <br />He stated that he visited Centerville Elementary School and Centennial Middle School to <br />award the local contest winners. He stated that he noticed that there was a lot of items left <br />on tables at the schools that looked new and wondered when the parents or kids would <br />come and collect their things. He stated that the principal said that if no one came to pick <br />up their things, the school would donate the items to another school that is in more need. <br /> <br />Mayor Love apologized to anyone that was impacted by the work that was going on at <br />Amazon on Saturday before last by Amazon – it was to his understanding that there was <br />a helicopter going for a while putting their a/c units on the roof. He stated that if <br />businesses are going to have that big of an impact to our residents to give the city heads <br />up so they can notify residents. <br /> <br />He thanked the new parade organizers, Paul and Cindy. He also thanked all the volunteers <br />who did the gardens around the signs at the parks and at City Hall. <br /> <br />On a Public Safety note - He stated please be careful with fireworks as we head into the <br />holiday season. <br /> <br />XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member Mosher to Adjourn the <br />Regularly Scheduled Council Meeting of June 14, 2023, at 8:10 p.m. All in favor.
