City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 14, 2023 <br />Staff is requesting that city council add this holiday, with compensation for employees, to the already <br />approved holiday calendar for the 2023 and review the 2024 holiday calendar at another time and <br />determine if adjustments are needed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member King, to approve the Juneteenth <br />Holiday as presented. All in Favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. Variance for Reconstruction of a Shed at 1746 Dupre Road <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Lewis stated that we have a resident requesting a variance for reconstruction <br />for a shed at 1746 Dupre Road. A variance is needed because the new shed is 2 feet longer and 2 feet <br />wider than existing shed. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommendation is to approve the <br />variance with the finding that are outlined in the council packet. <br /> <br />A discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member King, to approve the Variance <br />for Reconstruction of the Shed at 1746 Dupre Road, as presented, All in Favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />1. Administrator/Engineer Report – Assistant City Administrator Lewis s reviewed the <br />Administrator’s Report and stated that Music in the Park started yesterday. Council Member <br />Mosher suggested that the signs that are being put up should be placed by the walking paths <br />instead of Main Street for ease of reading. Assistant City Administrator continued to review the <br />Administrator’s Report that was in the packet. Council Member Mosher asked if a calendar can <br />be printed up for events. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Lewis stated that she is still collecting items for the swag bag give- <br />aways for the festival and if any businesses are interested in dropping off items (coupons, chip <br />clips, adverting, etc.), please drop them off at City Hall. <br /> <br /> Council Reports <br /> <br />a. Taylor – <br /> Parks & Recreation - Council Member Taylor gave no report. <br /> <br />b. Koski – <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission – absent. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – absent <br /> <br />c. King – <br /> Economic Development Authority – Council Member King gave no report. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – Council Member King gave no report. <br /> Parks & Recreation Committee – Council Member King gave no report. <br /> Fire Protection Council – Council Member King gave no report. <br /> <br />d.
