The investigations unit of the police department <br />continues to be a proactive resource for the citizens <br />of Centerville, Circle Pines, and Lexington.In 2022, <br />the Investigations Unit reviewed hundreds of <br />reports that were submitted by patrol officers, <br />Anoka County Child Protection, the Minnesota Adult <br />Abuse Reporting Center, and other agencies, along <br />with information obtained from citizens and <br />confidential informants during the course of their <br />work. <br />Our investigations unit relies on body worn camera <br />footage resulting in prompt and successful <br />resolution of cases. Duties of our <br />applications, conducting background investigations <br />for city employees and business licenses, managing <br />digital evidence, processing physical evidence, <br />forfeitures, filing cases with prosecutors, and <br />preparing and serving search warrants. <br />13 <br /> <br />
