The first of several community engagement meetings was held on Tuesday, August 29, at Centerville City Hall. Over 50 local residents and business owners, took the opportunity to give the design team their perspective on the issues being examined by the study, including business access, safety, traffic flow, bike and pedestrian facilities, and aesthetics. We anticipate the City Council will declare a vacancy at their September 27 meeting and begin accepting applications to fill the remainder of Mr. KingÓs term, which runs through the end of 2024. Typically, the City Council will interview interested candidates and then make an appointment to fill the seat. There will not be a special election.
