Metro Cities Annual Report
Centerville is a member of Metro Cities, an advocacy group which works in tandem with the League of
Minnesota Cities to track and influence legislation related to city government. Our membership in this
organization ensures our voices are heard at the capital. This past year, it was particularly important that we
be engaged in the lawmaking process, as a record number of bills were introduced and passed. Many of
these bills had serious implications for cities. Things like public safety funding, adult use cannabis and paid
employee leave were all addressed. For a summary of the work Metro Cities did on behalf of us and its
other member cities, please take an opportunity to review their annual report

PARKS & RECREATION
Annual Movie in the Park
Bring your lawnchairs,
blankets, family and friends
to Laurie LaMotte Memorial
Park to watch DC League of
Superpets, (from Warner
Animation Group) on
Saturday, September 16,
2023, at 7:30 p.m. or dusk.
Popcorn and lemonade will
be served by the Parks
Committee.
