CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />September 27, 2023 <br />Administration <br />WS 5 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Committee/Commission Pay <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />A committee member recently asked about the possibility of raising committee pay from $50 to $100 per <br />meeting, siting the difficulty we have had recently filling empty seats. It has been about 10 years or so since we <br />have raised this pay, so it may be something to consider, especially given the inflationary pressures on peoples' <br />budgets. <br />Staff is open to discussions on Council pay as well, but feel that our council pay is still within market ranges. <br />The committee/commission pay may be raised at any time.
