City of Centerville <br />City Council & Closed Exec. Meeting Minutes <br />September 13, 2023 <br />King an opportunity to share her words of remembrance of her late husband. Following all comments, <br />Council presented her with a plaque memorializing Steve’s service to the community. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Mosher to Adopt Res. #23-021 - <br />Establishing August 20, 2023 as Steven Douglas King Day. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Recognition of Scouts Partnership on History Niche <br /> <br />Mayor Love thanked the local scout troops for all that they provide the community and their assistance <br />with the History Niche. Mayor Love invited a representative from the organization to speak and Mr. <br />Brian Peterson spoke on behalf of the scouts. <br /> <br />V. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />1. None <br /> <br />VI. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br /> <br />1. July 26, 2023 City Council Work Session & Meeting Minutes – Provided via Email <br /> <br />Administrator Statz acknowledged that the minutes were emailed the morning of the meeting date and <br />reminded the Council that it would be okay to table them. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member Mosher to Approve of the <br />Minutes as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />1. Res. #23-0XX – Accepting Donation from the League of MN Cities – City of Excellence <br />Award <br />4. Res. #23-0XX – Accepting Donations from Residents – Eagle Park, Park Bench <br />5. Res. #23-0XX – Constitution Week Proclamation <br /> <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for members to remove items for additional discussion. Council <br />Member Koski asked for Item #4 to be removed for further discussion. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member Mosher to Approve Consent <br />Agenda Items #1, 2, 3, and #5 as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Council Member Koski thanked those who donated for the purchase of a park bench to be installed at <br />Eagle Park. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Taylor to Approve Consent <br />Agenda Item #4 as Presented.
