City of Centerville <br />City Council & Closed Exec. Meeting Minutes <br />September 13, 2023 <br /> <br />a. Taylor – <br /> Parks & Recreation – Council Member Taylor gave no report. <br /> <br />b. Koski – <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski provided a report of the <br />various topics covered at the meeting, including revisions to city ordinances and some <br />discrepancies between the city code, downtown master plan and the comprehensive plan. <br />Administrator Statz stated that the regularly scheduled meeting of October 3 had been <br />rescheduled to October 10, 2023. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski stated that an emergency meeting the <br />previous evening to authorize the purchase of a used fire truck at a cost not to exceed <br />$500,000. <br /> <br />c. Vacant <br /> <br />d. Mosher – <br /> Economic Development Authority – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br /> Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br /> <br />e. Love – Mayor Love welcomed Conner James to Centerville and stated that he was unable to <br />attend their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. He stated that he had the opportunity to attend a Football <br />fundraiser and was surprised at the participation of the Centerville community and it being so <br />supportive and active. He stated that he would be attending an upcoming Hockey fundraiser and <br />be supportive of them also. He stated that the Centennial Fire District participated a 9/11 <br />memorial standing on the 35E bridge and he thanked them for their service and honoring those <br />that gave their lives and not allowing the public to forget the event. <br /> <br /> North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Mayor Love gave no report. <br /> Police Governing Board – Mayor Love gave no report. <br /> Other Mayoral Reports - Mayor Love gave no report. <br /> <br />XI. RECESS CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />Mayor Love recessed to the Scheduled Closed Executive Session at 8:31 p.m. and stated that Council <br />would be taking a 5-minute recess prior to commencing the Closed Executive Session. <br /> <br />Mayor Love stated that the meeting is closed pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.05, subd. 3, to discuss <br />matters related to the budget and property governed by the Joint Powers Agreement of the Centennial <br />Lakes Police Department. <br /> <br />XII. CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />All members of Council were present. <br /> <br />1.
