remaining $9,600 out of the original $12,000 to next year and updated the distribution in
later years also.
Park & Recreation
We have not made volleyball court improvements this year, so they have been moved to
2024.

We added two projects this year, which are mostly funded by grants. The first is bike
repair stations for $2,454. This will be fully funded by a grant. The second is drinking
fountains/bottle fillers/pet waterers for $29,363. This cost has not been fully paid as we
are waiting for the plumber to complete his work on the installation, but we have a firm
quote.
The last project that changed is miscellaneous durable equipment replacement that isnÓt
really capital outlay ($5,000+) but isnÓt maintenance or small equipment either. This
year, we only had one park bench and the costs are partially offset by donations.

Public Works
We have many changes in this area due to truck pricing. We have included the 1-ton
truck that Council authorized last meeting at its contract price. We also have the box and
plow attachments but have not received updated quotes on that pricing. When the truck
is delivered in 2024, we will get that information back to Council if it exceeds the
estimated cost.

We have also moved the two pickups that we chose not to replace this year to 2024 with a
5% increase included in the price. This is based on what staff expects with the UAW
wage increases and general inflation trends. We have also included those replacements in
six years again based on our general practice to maximize resale value. We also did the
same for the pickups purchased in 2021 for replacement in 2027.

The biggest change comes from the two dump/plow trucks. Lino Lakes replaced two
trucks this year and their cost was $310,000. If we use that information and a 3%
inflation factor, then we come to the $329,000 price included for next year on the 2001
Sterling Truck. We inflated that figure by 3% annually to get the 2007 Sterling Truck
replacement in 2031.

The Public Works Director didnÓt see the need to replace either the Felling trailer or the
Massey Ferguson tractor now, so they have been pushed back one year.

We added a long-term warranty onto the ToolCat this year for $3,400.

Cash Flow
The big change we made to the revenue schedule was to add the $25,000 in additional
transfer from the General Fund for 2024 that Council added to the preliminary budget.
We continued that in the following years along with a 3% inflation factor. We also
moved the sale proceed revenues to match the trade-in year.
