City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 12, 2023 <br />V. PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />1. None <br /> <br />VI. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br /> <br />1. April 26, 2023, City Council Work Session & Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />City Administrator Statz stated that staff noticed that the minutes refer that Ms. Tammy Omdal, Northland <br />Securities, Inc., was present which is incorrect and that any reference to her appearance should be <br />removed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member King to Approve the April 26, <br />2023, City Council Work Session and Meeting Minutes with the noted changes. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />2. May 10, 2023, City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Love noted a change as to who opened the meeting being that he was absent. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Taylor to Approve the May 10, <br />2023, Council Meeting Minutes with the noted change. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />1. City of Centerville Claims through July 12, 2023 – (Check #36020-36072) & (2098E-2102E) <br />2. Encroachment Agreement, 7206 LaValle Drive – Underground Drain Tile <br />6. Encroachment Agreement, 1805 Laramee Lane – Boulder Type Retaining Wall <br />7. Parks & Recreation Committee Recommendation to Appoint Ms. Ashley Fuchs <br />8. Step Increase – Mr. James Huisenga <br />9. Request by “Centerville Lions Foundation” for Approval to Hold a Separate Raffle on <br />Saturday (Separate Tickets under “Foundation” to be Sold Friday & Saturday) <br />rd <br />10. Encroachment Agreement, 1872 – 73 Street – Fence <br /> <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for members to pull items for additional discussion. Mayor Love <br />pulled Items #9 and #10. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve Consent <br />Agenda Items #1-8 as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Love asked for clarity on Item #9 the Request by “Centerville Lions Foundation” for Approval to <br />Hold a Separate Raffle on Saturday (Separate Tickets under “Foundation” to be Sold Friday & Saturday). <br />Administrator Statz explained that the Lions in the last year formed a foundation, so they are a 501C3. <br />He stated that they realized that they needed a separate permit to hold this raffle.
