Centerville2040 Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br /> <br />C HAPTER 4:H OUSING <br />I NTRODUCTION <br />As a community nearing full development, Centerville is looking to the remaining large <br />pieces of vacant land as the last remaining sites for future residential subdivisions. Large, <br />contiguous parcels remain only in the southern portions of the community. As a result, the <br />City is taking a careful approach to planning land use and density to ensure adequate <br />amounts of land are guided to meet the City’s life-cycle housing needs. Lifecycle housing <br />refers to the mix of housing types that meet the housing demands of individuals and families <br />throughout their lives, such as single family detached, town homes, condominiums, <br />apartments, and senior housing. <br />Centerville has a tremendous opportunity to meet this demand not only through the <br />remaining vacant land but within the downtown redevelopment plan/mixed use area located <br />along County Road 21 and Main Street.
