COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />Resolution # 23-• <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY'S PERSONNEL POLICY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Legislature passed legislation, later signed into law by the governor requiring <br />all employers to offer Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) benefits to all employees, working at least 80 hours <br />per year, beginning January 1, 2024; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's existing Personnel Policy offers Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits to all full-time <br />employees, meeting the requirements of the ESST law; and <br />WHEREAS, the attached, revised Section 8 of the City's Personnel Policy further extends those benefits to part <br />time, temporary and seasonal employees at the state -mandated rate of 1 hour ESST for every 1 hour worked, <br />and, therefore meets the requirements of the new ESST law; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Centerville, County of Anoka, <br />State of Minnesota, that the City's Personnel Policy be amended by replacing the existing Section 8, with the <br />attached, revised, Section 8, effective January 1, 2024. <br />Passed and Adopted by the City of Centerville this 13th day of December, 2023. <br />�r <br />............................ ........... <br />Mayor, D.
