An email
th
was sent on July 28 to the Centennial Lakes Police Department inquiring if they have additional
AEDs, would they be willing to donate 2 of them to the Public Works Department and the Parks
and Recreation Committee. They would be available at events and programs throughout the year
and stored inside the LaMotte Park warming house during the winter months to keep from
freezing. Training on them would be done by the Centennial Fire Department.

The CLPD had only one AED available, which was kindly donated to the Public Works
Department. To obtain the second AED, which would cost between $1500 to $2500, it was
suggested that a request for a donation be made to the Centennial Hockey Club from their
Charitable Gambling proceeds.

Motion made by Committee Member Errickson-Grahek, seconded by Committee Member
Freiermuth to direct City Clerk Bender to request a donation from the Centennial Hockey
Club from their Charitable Gambling proceeds to purchase an AED for the P & R
Committee, with training to be done by the Centennial Fire Department. The Public Works
Department is willing to remove several bushes and replace them with sod and in other areas
replace the bushes with colorful flowers that would be pollinator friendly. The Committee
Members are in favor of P.W. tackling this project. Both Committee Members Errickson-Grahek
and Fuchs offered to assist them with this renovation. Once the renovation is complete both
committee members stated they would continue to help maintain this park. In addition, Committee
Member Errickson-Grahek requested a longer piece of hose for her rain barrel, as the current one
is too short and has a kink in it.
