CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />January 24, 2024 <br />Administration <br /># 7..1 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />EDA Appointment <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />In July 2022, the city received a resignation from an EDA commissioner for an unexpired five-year term, <br />ending on July 30, 2023. The EDA interviewed candidates at their September 21, 2022 meeting, and <br />unanimously selected Chris Swenson to fill the unexpired term. Commissioner Swenson was sworn into office <br />October 2022, however her initial term expired in July of last year.
