STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RESOLUTION #24-0XX <br />APPOINTMENT OF EDA COMMISSIONER <br />WHEREAS, the Resolution of the City Council of Centerville authorized the creation of <br />the Economic Development Authority of the City of Centerville, and thusly defined the <br />initial terms of office for the three appointed commissioners in successive periods of three, <br />four, and five years and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city received a resignation, creating a vacancy for the unexpired five-year <br />term expiring on July 30, 2023, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cityÓs Economic Development Authority (EDA) interviewed candidates <br />in September 2022, and unanimously selected Chriss Swenson to serve on the EDA, and: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chris Swenson was sworn into office on October 19, 2022 and this term <br />expired on July 30, 2023, and; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the city of Centerville by and through <br />its City Council, hereby authorize the appointment of Chris Swenson to the Economic <br />Development Authority (EDA) to retroactively fill the term that expired July 30, 2023, <br />along with six additional years, expiring on July 30, 2029, as outlined in the EDA by-laws, <br />and; <br /> <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, the City Administrator, or their designee, is authorized <br />to execute on behalf of the city/town, any documents necessary to effectuate this decision <br />to approve the appointment to the Economic Development Authority (EDA). <br /> <br />Passed by the City Council of the City of Centerville this 24th day of January 2024. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Mayor, D.
