City of Centerville <br />EDA Meeting Minutes <br />November 15, 2023 <br />Motion by Commissioner Mosher and seconded by Commissioner Swenson to approve the <br />October 17, 2023, meeting minutes. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />V. BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />1. Bills <br />a. Check List <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the bills as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Swenson and seconded by Commissioner Smith to approve the <br />bills. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />2. Communications <br />a. President Remillard provided an overview of the MNCAR Expo he attended earlier <br />this month. There were over one hundred attendees and several larger cities such as <br />Coon Rapids and Lakeville were there. <br />b. Business Appreciation Recap <br />Executive Director Lewis reported that there were thirteen businesses represented <br />at the event and more than forty attendees. <br />VI. PRESENTATION <br />a. None <br />VII. REPORTS <br />1. Partner Agency Reports <br />a. Anoka County Regional Economic Development (ACRED) <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the report as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />2. Year to Date Financials <br />Executive Director Lewis introduced the financial report as presented in the packet. <br />Motion by Commissioner Swenson and seconded by Commissioner Mosher to approve the <br />financial statement as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />Executive Director Lewis also introduced the item 8.3 Review of Banking Account Information. <br />Discussion ensued about keeping the money at MidWest One Bank, opportunity costs, and having <br />a checking account in addition to the savings account. <br />Motion by Commissioner Swenson and seconded by Commissioner Mosher to keep money <br />at the MidWest One Bank and allow Finance DeJong to monitor and advise of the best <br />placement of monies.
