City of Centerville EDA Meeting Minutes November 15, 2023 Finance Director Bruce DeJong added that the interest rate at MidWest One is a reasonable option; he added that it may not be the best option if the EDA is looking strictly at the return, but that returns vary and whatÓs available changes over time. Finance Director DeJong added that he thought keeping the money at MidWest One is fine for where we currently are. Discussion ensued about custodial obligations of the treasurer, as outlined in the bylaws. Motion by Commissioner Swenson and seconded by Commissioner Mosher to keep money at the MidWest One Bank. All in favor. Motion carried. 3. Ongoing Programs: Executive Director Lewis reviewed the Ongoing Programs report as presented in the packet. 4. AdministratorÓs Report Executive Director Lewis reviewed the AdministratorÓs Report as presented in the packet. VIII. OLD BUSINESS 1. Annual Report to City Council Executive Director Lewis introduced this item as presented in the packet. Discussion ensued about the draft report. Motion by Commissioner Smith, Seconded by Commissioner Swenson to approve the annual report. All in favor. Motion carried. 2Goals and Objectives for 2024 Executive Director Lewis introduced this item as presented in the packet. Discussion ensued about the goals and the EDA would like to develop a policy and business incentives toolkit. Executive Director Lewis noted that there are a few changes that she would like to make the document prior to its submission to the city council. Motion by Commissioner Smith, Seconded by Commissioner Mosher to approve the 2024 goals as revised. All in favor. Motion carried. 3. Review of Banking Information Discussed under the financial report. IX. NEW BUSINESS 1. None X.
