City of Centerville <br />EDA Meeting Minutes <br />November 15, 2023 <br />Finance Director Bruce DeJong added that the interest rate at MidWest One is a reasonable option; <br />he added that it may not be the best option if the EDA is looking strictly at the return, but that <br />returns vary and whatÓs available changes over time. Finance Director DeJong added that he <br />thought keeping the money at MidWest One is fine for where we currently are. Discussion ensued <br />about custodial obligations of the treasurer, as outlined in the bylaws. <br />Motion by Commissioner Swenson and seconded by Commissioner Mosher to keep money <br />at the MidWest One Bank. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />3. Ongoing Programs: <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the Ongoing Programs report as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />4. AdministratorÓs Report <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the AdministratorÓs Report as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Annual Report to City Council <br />Executive Director Lewis introduced this item as presented in the packet. Discussion ensued about <br />the draft report. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Smith, Seconded by Commissioner Swenson to approve the annual <br />report. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />2Goals and Objectives for 2024 <br />Executive Director Lewis introduced this item as presented in the packet. Discussion ensued about <br />the goals and the EDA would like to develop a policy and business incentives toolkit. Executive <br />Director Lewis noted that there are a few changes that she would like to make the document prior <br />to its submission to the city council. <br />Motion by Commissioner Smith, Seconded by Commissioner Mosher to approve the 2024 <br />goals as revised. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />3. Review of Banking Information <br />Discussed under the financial report. <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. None <br />X. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Commissioner Swenson, seconded by Commissioner Smith to adjourn the <br />November 15, 2023, Economic Development Authority meeting at 7:32 p.m. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br />Ќ <br /> <br />
