<br />City of Centerville <br />Park and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br />January 3,2024 <br /> <br />2. Committee Member Updates <br /> <br />a. Volunteer Appreciation Gifts <br /> <br />Chair Errickson-Grahek provided a brief synopsis of discussion that had been held at the <br />Committee level regarding lack of participation in the past, determining volunteers, best time to <br />organize and hold the event, thank yous, gift cards, etc. Discussion was had regarding the <br />purchasing of mugs, including a thank you card, hot cocoa mix packet and some candy as a thank <br />you gift for those that assisted the city in making Centerville a wonderful place to live. Chair <br />Errickson-Grahek requested volunteers for assistance in putting the items together. <br /> <br />3. Council Liaison Update <br /> <br />Council Liaison Sweeney gave a brief review of a potential high-end, u-shaped, 90-110 unit <br />apartment that is being proposed for the LaLonde property in the downtown area near the school. <br />He stated that it would be 3 stories, have lake views and mostly underground parking. <br /> <br /> <br />VII. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Committee Member Akpan to adjourn <br />the January 3, 2024, P & R meeting at 7:45 p.m. All in favor.
