<br />City of Centerville <br />Park and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br />January 3,2024 <br /> <br />was had to extend the contest with a new deadline of January 31, 2024. Chair Errickson-Grahek <br />again offered to deliver the new flyer to local business and provide the contest information to those <br />that attended the Skate/Sled event. <br /> <br />4. Hidden Spring Rain Garden Maintenance – Prairie Restoration <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Akpan, seconded by Chair Errickson-Grahek to Table <br />the Item until City Administrator Statz Was in Attendance. August 2, 2023 P & R Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Chair Errickson-Grahek, seconded by Committee Member Fuchs to approve the <br />Parks & Recreation Committee Minutes of August 2, 2023 as Presented. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />2. September 6, 2023 P & R Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Akpan, seconded by Committee Member Seeley to <br />approve the Parks & Recreation Committee Minutes of September 6, 2023 as Presented. All <br />in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />1. Staff Updates <br /> <br />a. Eagle Park Tree Removal <br /> <br />City Clerk Bender stated that six to eight dead or dying trees were removed due to public hazard. <br /> <br />b. Eagle Park Bench Installation <br /> <br />Chair Errickson-Grahek reported that the Eagle Park Bench had been installed. Mr. Larry Boerner <br />was very appreciative with its placement as it will provide a place for walkers to rest. The <br />Committee thanked residents Mr. & Mrs. Bill Kapphahn and Mr. Don Quaintance for assisting in <br />offsetting costs of the installation. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
