City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 28, 2024 <br />Assistant Administrator Lewis stated that there will be four different stations for discussions (i.e., <br />LaLonde Property Concept and Tax Increment Financing (TIF), 2040 Comprehensive Plan Land Use <br />Map, Civic Engagement/POLCO and Capital Projects/Unfunded Projects. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member Sweeney to Approve March 25, <br />2024, 5-8 p.m. for the Town Hall Open House Meeting Date. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. None <br /> <br />X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />1. Administrator/Engineer Report – Administrator Statz stated that his report was contained in <br />the packet and that he would be happy to address any questions from the Council. He provided <br />the Council with a brief review. He stated that he and Jr. Council Member Sauber would be <br />attending City Day on the Hill. <br /> <br />2. Council Reports <br /> <br />Junior Council Member Sauber stated that she attended a recent EDA meeting where they <br />discussed incubator spaces, the construction of a building that could provide that space, placing <br />flags along Main Street and that she was excited to participate in City Day on the Hill. <br /> <br />She reported that she also attended a school board meeting and found it interesting how different <br />the meetings were compared to Council’s. <br /> <br />She reported that the boys swimming and dive team were at State along with the boys wrestling <br />team. She stated that the boys’ hockey team was in the section finals. <br /> <br />a. Taylor – <br />(i) Economic Development Authority – Council Member Taylor gave no report. <br />(ii) Police Governing Board – Council Member Taylor gave no report. <br /> <br />b. Koski – <br /> (i) Planning & Zoning Commission – Due to absence gave no report. <br /> (ii) Fire Steering Committee – Due to absence gave no report. <br /> <br />c. Sweeney - <br />(i) Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Sweeney gave no report. <br />(ii) Parks & Recreation Committee – Council Member Sweeney gave no report. <br />(iii) Fire Protection Council – Council Member Sweeney gave no report. <br /> <br />d. Mosher – <br />(i) Economic Development Authority – Council Member Mosher stated that Junior <br />Council Member Sauber was in attendance and that he would provide her with the <br />opportunity to provide the recap.
