City of Centerville City Council Meeting Minutes February 28, 2024 committee was attempting to assist Max Storage with providing ease to potential tenants for allowable uses. (ii) Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher gave no report. e. Love – (i) North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Mayor Love reported that they spoke about NSPN (local cable sports networking). He also reported that the commission was able to broadcast the last three State tournament football games due to the relationship. He stated that their home movie transfer services grossed $7,000 which was their most profitable month (December, 2023) and for their annual services $23,000. He stated that they continue to find new ways to make money as they recently filmed two football games for Cottage Grove and made $7,000. He also stated that they would be contracting their engineering/consulting services with the City of Cambridge for $250/hr. He stated that the total franchise fees for the year were $150,000 of which the City’s portion would be $5,367.02 which should be received shortly. (ii) Police Governing Board – Mayor Love gave no report. (iii) Other Mayoral Reports – Mayor Love reported that “Clearopathra” was named and he had participated in a photo opportunity with the winner. He stated that North Metro TV completed the photo op. and a cable segment of the event. He reported that City Day at the Capital was taking place on March 7, 2024, and that the Town Hall Open House was now scheduled for March 25, 2024. He stated that he had an appointment to meet with a Scout member which would assist the individual in obtaining their merit badge. XI. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member Sweeney to Adjourn the Council Meeting of February 28, 2024, at 7:08 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried.
