City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 28, 2024 <br />committee was attempting to assist Max Storage with providing ease to potential tenants <br />for allowable uses. <br />(ii) Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br /> <br />e. Love – <br />(i) North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Mayor Love reported that they spoke <br />about NSPN (local cable sports networking). He also reported that the commission was <br />able to broadcast the last three State tournament football games due to the relationship. <br />He stated that their home movie transfer services grossed $7,000 which was their most <br />profitable month (December, 2023) and for their annual services $23,000. He stated that <br />they continue to find new ways to make money as they recently filmed two football <br />games for Cottage Grove and made $7,000. He also stated that they would be contracting <br />their engineering/consulting services with the City of Cambridge for $250/hr. He stated <br />that the total franchise fees for the year were $150,000 of which the City’s portion would <br />be $5,367.02 which should be received shortly. <br />(ii) Police Governing Board – Mayor Love gave no report. <br />(iii) Other Mayoral Reports – Mayor Love reported that “Clearopathra” was named and he <br />had participated in a photo opportunity with the winner. He stated that North Metro TV <br />completed the photo op. and a cable segment of the event. He reported that City Day at <br />the Capital was taking place on March 7, 2024, and that the Town Hall Open House was <br />now scheduled for March 25, 2024. He stated that he had an appointment to meet with a <br />Scout member which would assist the individual in obtaining their merit badge. <br /> <br />XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member Sweeney to Adjourn the <br />Council Meeting of February 28, 2024, at 7:08 p.m. All in favor.
