I just want to make sure it went
through. I also have some additional thoughts to add now that IЪƚđ seen the latest newsletter from
Teresa Bender.
We live at 7124 Main St. to the south of the proposed development at the Lalonde property site. We
have several questions and concerns. We are sure that the answers to many of our questions are
already being considered by the city and the developer. Once plans are more ǎ nalized we would
like to meet so that we can discuss the development since the impact on our location will be so
great. Could you please let me know that you have received this email?
WESTVIEW:
1.Currently this is a very narrow street and cannot accommodate 2-way traic. How will the
street be re-designed? How wide will it be? What will be the impact of through-traic / How
many cars will be using the through street? Despite what the graphic we have shows,
Westview will likely NOT go all the way through to Main Street. The more likely plan will be
for it to dead end into a parking area. The road will, however, be widened to a standard
street width of 33 feet to accommodate 2-way traijąϼ϶϶ËđЪƚđ϶đŹƂijŎêƂđċ϶Ƃİđ϶đŏƂijŵđ
ċđƚđňŗŲŎđŏƂ϶Ɯijňň϶ąŵđêƂđ϶êŵŗƇŏċ϶Ͳͬͬ϶А϶ͳͬͬ϶ƂŵijŲŹ϶Ųđr day (one car leaving is one trip; one care
coming home is another). About half of those might come from the underground parking,
which will exit at the end of Westview. So, about 350 trips per day up and down Westview
might be an average. This is very typical for a small city street.
2.What will be the impact on our garage / driveway access? The only impact on your
ċŵijƚđƜêƢЌĩêŵêĩđ϶êąąđŹŹ϶ŎijĩİƂ϶ăđ϶Ƃİđ϶Ɯijċđŏijŏĩ϶ŗĨ϶Ƃİđ϶ŵŗêċϼ϶϶ËđЪňň϶ňŗŗń϶êƂ϶ƂİêƂ϶ŹŲđąij ǎ c issue
as the design moves along.
3.How will the intersection at Main Street be redesigned. Currently, this is a VERY dangerous
approach with very limited views of traic coming around the curve.϶϶fЪċ϶ăđ϶ijŏƂđŵđŹƂđċ϶Ƃŗ
hear a little more from you on whether you are talking about the intersection at Main St. and
Centerville Road or the intersection that is shown on the ǎ gure at Main Street and
Westview. Again, that intersection will not likely be constructed. A traic study will likely be
required and will make recommendations on any improvements at Main St. and Centerville
Rd.
SCHOOL PARKING LOT:
1.Traic in the morning and afternoon has always been an issue. The parents Ǐ y in and out of the
lot without concern for other cars and the safety of the children. Parking on Westview during school
events has also
