"Economic Development" is not a public purpose when it comes to eminent domain, so you are <br />correct that we could not take your property and then sell it to a developer. Eminent domain is used for <br />things like roads, sewers, water mains, trails, and other such public purposes. Being in a TIF district does <br />not add or subtract from any eminent domain rights the city might have. <br /> <br />
