I
understand the process but disagree about our community. We have a large population and
community that goes to other cities to enjoy shoŲŲijŏĩ϶êŏċ϶ċijŏijŏĩ϶ăđąêƇŹđ϶ijƂ϶ċŗđŹŏЪƂ϶đơijŹƂ϶İđŵđϼ϶Ëđ϶
ƜŗƇňċ϶ŎƇąİ϶ŵêƂİđŵ϶ŹƇŲŲŗŵƂ϶ŗƇŵ϶ňŗąêň϶ăƇŹijŏđŹŹđŹ϶ăƇƂ϶ƜijƂİ϶Ƃİđ϶ąƇŵŵđŏƂ϶ċŗƜŏƂŗƜŏ϶ƂİêƂ϶İêŹŏЪƂ϶đơijŹƂđċ϶
to date. We only have strip malls and run down buildings that do not make for a well designed
walkable neighborhood. We have enough people now to support a better downtown if that was a
priority for the city. Adding in this new development should then help with our taxes and not be a
burden to the residents. We already have high taxes for what we get here. Why should we pay more
or can you explain how this project will change our taxes and housing market locally. Who pays for
the new traic lights, is that also the communities responsibility and where does that land? However, we have not had any that have been able to
make a new building pencil out for them. An example is Scooters Coee. They were looking for a
site in our city. We oered our empty lot at 1737 Main Street (NW Corner of Progress Road and Main
Street). We would have sold the lot to them for a $1. We also had a Phase I environmental study
