City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 27, 2024 <br />they would be purchasing some logo’d golfballs, purchased some beanies and campfire <br />mugs for this years’ Business Appreciation Event and they discussed placing planters <br />along Main Street. <br />(ii) Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br /> <br />e. Love – Mayor Love stated that there were fantastic turnouts for the two open houses and that he <br />wanted to thank staff, Council Members, P & Z and P & R members along with the public. He <br />thanked Council Member Koski for his advocacy/leadership in providing the public with <br />opportunities for providing input. <br /> He stated that the City was a member of Mayor’s Alliance to End Childhood Hunger and that the <br />City had been requested to provide information regarding why this was important for our <br />community, he listed several Centerville Cares articles regarding the issue (i.e. Hunger Day on <br />the Hill and the Centennial Schools Summer Food Service Program) and thanked Assistant City <br />Administrator Lewis for her assistance regarding the items. Stated that his quote “This initiative <br />is important to me as I personally know what it feels like to be hungry as a child. I understand <br />how difficult it is to go to school with an empty stomach. I know the fear of not knowing where <br />your next meal will come from. These memories allow me to have compassion and a desire to <br />make a difference.” Is on their website as his personal comment and glad to be a part of the <br />Alliance. <br />He reported that the most recent League of MN Cities newsletter contained an article about our <br />Jr. Council Member Program, and he sent the same article to the local paper. He also stated that <br />he wrote a small article about Centerville for the two local papers. <br />Mayor Love wished the audience a Happy Easter. <br />(i) North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Mayor Love gave no report. <br />(ii) Police Governing Board – Mayor Love gave no report. <br />(iii) Other Mayoral Reports – Mayor Love gave no report. <br /> <br />XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adjourn the Council <br />Meeting of March 13, 2024, at 7:28 p.m. All in favor.
