CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />July 10, 2024 <br />Administration <br />IX.2.c <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Security Release or Reduction - Old Mill Estates <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />All punch list items for the development have been addressed. The developer is working with the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District (RCWD) to finalize their permit. However, this may not be possible until all building sites <br />in the development are developed. RCWD has approved the ponds and development-wide erosion control. <br />What remains is a final review and approval of the site's wetland delineations. The developer has submitted the <br />necessary survey information for this review. Once the watershed approves this, all that would remain are the <br />erosion control requirments on each of the 3 remaining vacant lots. The city holds security for those lots when <br />a building permit is issued. Prior to a building permit, the city has police powers which allow us to force the <br />regular maintenance of those sites.
