<br /> Approved <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville’s Parks & Recreation Committee <br />held a Regularly Scheduled Meeting on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Chair Errickson-Grahek called the Regularly Scheduled meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br />Committee, to order at 6:31 p.m. <br /> <br />1. ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Present: Chairperson Heidi Errickson-Grahek <br />Committee Member Emem Akpan <br /> Committee Member Ashley Fuchs <br />Committee Member Brian Peterson <br /> Committee Member Katya Port <br />Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br /> <br />Also Present: City Clerk, Ms. Teresa Bender <br /> City Council Liaison, Mr. Terry Sweeney <br /> Public Works Director, Mr. Paul Palzer <br /> <br />Absent: Committee Member Kathy Freiermuth <br /> <br /> <br />II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Chair Errickson-Grahek, to add the <br />following agenda item under VI. New Business, 8. Dog Park and to approve the agenda as <br />amended. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />III. APPEARANCES – Mr. Paul Palzer, Director of Public Works <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer provided an update regarding the installation of the hydration stations – as of April 29 <br />he was waiting for confirmation from Hugo Plumbing as to when these stations will be installed. <br /> <br />Committee Member Seeley asked who is responsible for reporting issues with the playground <br />equipment and other areas of the parks. Mr. Palzer stated that his staff does a weekly check of the <br />parks and makes a written report of their findings. He also stated that a lot of the work will <br />commence once the summer help has been hired, around mid-May. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer provided a copy of several Inclusive playground pieces to members for consideration <br /> <br />
