City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 10, 2024 <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member Sweeney to approve the release <br />of all securities for the Rehbein Commercial Development as requested. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Taylor to approve the release of <br />all securities for the Rehbein Industrial Development as requested. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Sweeney, seconded by Council Member Koski to approve the reduction <br />of the Developer’s security to $20,000, with a full release granted upon RCWD’s approval of the <br />final wetland delineation. <br /> <br />Council Member Taylor asked if the developer failed to complete required check list items and if the <br />amount for the City to complete them on their behalf exceeded $20,000 what would happen. City Attorney <br />Glaser stated that we would first ask them for the money or to complete the items and if they stated no, <br />the city would sue them. He explained that there was still a Developer’s Agreement that can be relied on. <br />He also stated that generally the escrow amounts are 125 to 150% higher than the estimates. Discussion <br />ensued regarding backyard drainage issues and Administrator Statz stated that staff has been working with <br />the builders and homeowners regarding rectifying their issues, but the system is there and functioning <br />properly. Council Member Koski stated that he relies on staff to make these financial decisions and if <br />they recommend them then he is supportive. <br /> <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />1. Administrator/Engineer Report – Administrator Statz stated that his report was contained in the <br />packet and that he would be happy to address any questions from the Council. He provided the Council <br />with a brief review. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Lewis thanked the businesses who donated promotional items for the Fete <br />des Lacs EDA swag bags. <br /> <br />2. Council Reports <br /> <br />Junior Council Member Sauber stated that the youth in Centerville have been enjoying Music in the Park <br />along with herself. She liked the programming. <br /> <br />a. Taylor – Council Member Taylor stated that she recently had attended the League of MN Cities <br />Conference. She stated that it was very engaging, that she had taken away numerous tips and <br />tricks and issues that were going on throughout the State. She also stated that it was wonderful <br />to be able to represent the City of Centerville and thanked the city for the opportunity to attend. <br />(i) Economic Development Authority - Council Member Taylor gave no report and stated <br />that they would be meeting the following week. <br />(ii) Police Governing Board – Council Member Taylor gave no report. <br /> <br />b. Koski – <br /> (i) Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski reported that the Commission <br />discussed a Concept Plan for a development at 7216 & 7230 LaValle Drive with the <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
