Take a few minutes to give your feedback <br />and help the county shape its policies. <br />Meeting and CityHallSchedule <br />August 28, 2024, City Council Work Session, 5:00 <br />p.m., 6:30 Regular Meeting <br />September 2, 2024 – City Hall Closed – Labor Day <br />September 3, 2024, 6:30 p.m. – Planning & Zoning <br />Commission <br />September 4, 2024, 6:30 p.m. – Parks & Recreation <br />Committee <br />September 18, 2024, 5:30 p.m. – Economic <br />Development Authority <br />ENGINEERING <br />TH <br />20Avenue (CSAH 54) Corridor Study <br />The City Council has approved the Corridor Study. <br />Next steps will be to work with the county and the City <br />of Lino Lakes to sync up our respective capital <br />improvement plans so that we can begin budgeting for <br />these improvements, many of which are 5 to 10 years <br />out. <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br />Solar on Public Buildings Grant <br />City staff have been working with representatives from the state procurement office who have assisted us in <br />drafting and distributing a Request for Proposals for the design and construction of solar panels on city hall <br />and the fire station. Several contractors visited City Hall recently to examine the site prior to submitting <br />their proposal. The proposals once received will be scored and the winning proposal will be presented to <br />council for consideration. Staff would then submit our proposal for the final grant application. If accepted, <br />construction could begin in the spring. <br /> <br />Water Tower <br />Consulting engineers, KLM, have finished their work in performing some tests on the tower’s paint to help <br />understand the scope and timing of a repaint. Staff will be discussing the results of that report with the City <br />Council at an upcoming workshop. <br />CENTENNIAL LAKES POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />We’re Hiring <br />The department has an opening for a full-timepatrol officer.
