Best Practices <br />Gatherings: ‘ŷǤ ƷğƉĻ ƷŷĻ ƩźƭƉͪ <br />If you think you will be gathering with other Members of your body, simply ask Staff to post <br />notice of a potential public meeting. In the past we have posted meeting notices for park and skate <br />events, funerals - we once posted a meeting notice to hang out in s garage. <br />Emails: \[ĻƷ {ƷğŅŅ ķƚ ƷŷĻ ĻƒğźƌźƓŭͧ <br />The City Administrator, Staff and Attorney can communicate with your entire body outside <br />of a meeting. If it is necessary to send information outside of a meeting, ask Staff to help by <br />sending and receiving emails with the entire body. <br />Always use your City email for City business - avoid using your personal email or texting <br />devices. <br /> <br />REMOTE MEETING ATTENDANCE <br />Meetings Using Interactive Technology Remote Attendance by Member <br />Members of the Council or a Committee can remotely attend a meeting using Zoom or <br />Teams. <br />o Your remote location must be open and accessible to the public. <br />o 3-days posted public notice disclosing your location. <br />General meeting requirements <br />o One member must be present at City Hall <br />o All members must be able to see and hear each other and any public discourse at <br />City Hall. <br />o All votes are by roll call. <br />o Each member can attend up to 3 meetings per year remotely. <br />Special Exceptions - you dont have to disclosure your location when: <br />o A health care professional advises you against being in a public place for <br />personal or family medical reasons. <br />o You are on a military deployment. <br />If requirements are not met; a member can still attend a meeting but may not vote and <br />their attendance does not count towards quorum rules. <br /> <br />113 <br /> <br />
