January 17, 2025 <br />Mark Statz, PE – City Administrator/Engineer <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Reference: Proposal for Engineering Services – 2025 Thin Overlay Project <br />Bidding Phase: <br />Task 1 – Assistance during bidding, including answering contractor questions and preparing addenda as <br />necessary <br />Task 2 – Attendance at bid opening; review of bids and preparation of bid tabulation and bid results letter <br />Task 3 – Attendance at one City Council meeting to present bid results <br />Task 4 – Contracts preparation and coordination <br />Task 5 – Attendance at preconstruction meeting with contractor and city staff <br />Construction Services Phase (Optional): <br />The city may opt to utilize city staff to complete the construction services for this project. However, if <br />requested, Stantec can perform these additional construction services. Construction services tasks include: <br />Task 1 – Construction observation, including part-time inspection of construction; coordination with <br />contractor, residents, and city staff; documentation of work <br />Task 2 – Monthly pay request preparation and administration, including documentation of quantities <br />Task 3 – Preparation of record plans <br />Proposed Schedule <br />The proposed schedule for these services is as follows: <br />January 22, 2025Authorization to begin feasibility study <br />February 12, 2025Present feasibility study/call for public hearing/order plans <br />March 12, 2025Public Improvement Hearing/Approve plans/authorize bidding <br />April 8, 2025Open Bids (earliest date) <br />April 9 or 23, 2025Council reviews bids/considers award <br />Summer 2025Construction <br />Fall 2025 (after project completion)Assessment Hearing <br />2 <br />215 <br /> <br />
