CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: February 12, 2025 Administration WS 3 TITLE OF ISSUE: Interim Organizational Chart BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Attached is the proposed Interim City Organizational Chart. The changes reflected here redistribute the work of retired Public Works Director, Paul Palzer, placing a higher responsibility on Mr. Peterson who will act as the Interim Public Works Director. Mr. Schmitz will continue his role as both a Public Works Technician and the Building Official. This arrangement accounts for the departure of Mr. Statz's engineering background and provides more support to the Interim Administrator while city hall is down from 4.5 FTE to 3.5 FTEs. Seating Mr. Peterson as an Interim Public Works Director allows more flexibility to the incoming City Administrator, whomever that should be and whenever that should occur.
