Learn why this is important
Caution: This email originated outside our organization; please use caution.
With the conditional expense that you’re referring to, the sporting equipment must
demonstrate how it’s increasing access for a population that is being inequitably served and
must go through the Minnesota Department of Health for approval. Same with the signage. If
you’re able to demonstrate this, I can put in an inquiry to the MDH, but generally they consider
a disc golf course to fall in the categories I mentioned.
Let me know or feel free to reach out at any time if you’d like to discuss other options for
projects.
Megan Barry
Senior Health Education Specialist - SHIP
Anoka County Public Health & Environmental Services
rd
2100 3 Ave Suite 600 | Anoka, MN 55303
Phone: 763.324.4246 | Mobile: 612.709.2242
Megan.Barry@anokacountymn.gov
From: Teresa Bender <tbender@centervillemn.com>
Sent: Friday, February 28, 2025 7:22 AM
To: Megan Barry <Megan.Barry@anokacountymn.gov>
Cc: Heidi Grahek <hgrahekcentervillemn@gmail.com>
Subject: RE: SHIP Application Follow-Up
EXTERNAL EMAIL ALERT: This message originated from outside the Anoka County email
system.
