City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 28, 2025 <br />IX.NEW BUSINESS <br />1.Resolution to Transfer Funds <br />Finance Director Bruce DeJong reviewed the memorandum contained in the council packet. He stated <br />that two transfers were involved: transferring money from the Police Building Bond into the General Fund <br />($67,496.63) which would close Fund 309. He also stated $25,000 Î Water Fund, $25,000 Î Sewer Fund <br />and $10,000 Î Stormwater Fund would be transferred into Fund 409 Equipment Replacement. He <br />explained that some of the funding was offset of revenue loss from Local Government Aid and the Public <br />Safety Grant. <br />Motion by Council Member Rios, seconded by Council Member Koski to approve Res. #25-0XX - <br />Authorizing the 2025 Transfer of Funds, as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />2.MWP Recreation Proposal for LaMotte Playground Equipment <br />Interim City Administrator Lewis stated that earlier Mr. Jon Gilbertson provided Council with a <br />presentation and that staff was attempting to wrap up the final proposal. She stated that there were several <br />outstanding concerns along with securing pricing prior to tariffs being placed as of June 1. <br />Attorney Glaser explained that the contract needed to go through the State Department of Administration <br />just for the purpose of ensuring that there was compliance with bidding requirements. <br />Discussion ensued between Mr. Gilbertson and Attorney Glaser regarding slight modifications with the <br />contract and tariffs. <br />Motion by Mayor Golden, seconded by Council Member Rios to approve the MWP Recreation <br />Proposal for the LaMotte Playground Equipment as presented with the amendment made prior to <br />submission, subject to legal and engineering approval. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />X.COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMETS <br />Administrator/Engineer Report Î Interim Administrator Lewis stated that the report was <br />contained in the packet and provided Council with a brief review. <br />1.Council Report <br />a.Kubat - <br />(i)Parks & Recreation Committee Î Council Member Kubat gave no report. <br />(ii)Centennial Fire District Steering Committee Î Council Member Kubat gave no report. <br />(iii)Planning & Zoning Commission - Council Member Kubat gave no report. <br />b.Koski <br />(i)Planning & Zoning Commission Î Council Member Koski stated that the meeting would <br />be held on Tuesday of the upcoming week. He stated that the Commission would be <br />discussing language amendments to the City Code. He thanked Rice Creek Watershed <br />District for their grant. <br />Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br />
