<br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />The Centerville City Council is interviewing candidates to fill the vacant council seat, which was created by <br />former council member Darrin Mosher. Once filled, the new council memberÓs term will expire in January <br />2027. The council interviewed one candidate in July, and two more interviews will take place at the August <br />th <br />27 city council meeting. <br /> <br />PARKS & RECREATION <br />Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park Upgrades in Progress <br />Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park is closed until further notice <br />to allow for the installation of new playground equipment. <br />Several of the pieces that were removed will be reused in <br />alternative parks throughout the City. <br /> <br />We are hopeful that the new equipment will be installed next <br />week depending on the weather. <br /> <br />Disc Golf Course Installation <br />The Public Works staff has <br />worked hard to complete the <br />installation of the Disc Golf <br />Course. Signage will be <br />installed shortly along with a Grand Opening scheduled. <br /> <br />During the installation process, users were already utilizing that part of the <br />course that had been completed. The committee is super excited to see these <br />new amenities and hope that the public will come out and use them. <br /> <br />59 <br /> <br />
