CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: September 10, 2025 Administration VII.1 TITLE OF ISSUE: 6996 Brian Drive Pond BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Residents at 6996 Brian Drive have been working with the city toward resolution of their wet backyard for quite time. In February of this year, former Administrator Statz proposed a cost/share option through the city's backyard drainage program - the cost/share option was considered viable with the understanding that the neighbors would all sign special assessment waivers. Since not all of the neighbors were willing to do this, the council requested that staff seek additional options for helping the homeowner. The city engineer went out to the property to selevations of the pond, adjacent homes, ditches and culverts. The information collected was used to evaluate additional options and costs associated with resolving this issue.
