139 <br />Name:2025 Zoning Ordinance Amendments <br />Date:November 13,2025 <br />Page:2 <br />Modifications to the Draft Ordinance <br />Accessory Structure Placement <br />The Planning Commission has recommended the following revised language regarding the placement of <br />accessory structures: <br />(4)For an interior lot,no detached garageaccessory structureshall be erected or located <br />within any required yard other than the rear yard so that any edge or building line of <br />the structure is in front of the principal building. Any detached accessory structure <br />that is not a garage shall be located only within the rear yard. For a corner or interior <br />lot that is a lakeshore lot, a detached garage or accessory building shall be permitted <br />closer to the front lot line than the front building line or edge of the principal <br />building, provided that the minimum front setback for principal buildings is met, <br />there is screening between the structure and the right-of-way, and that all other <br />required setbacks are met. <br />The following amendedlanguage(changes shown in purple text)couldimprove clarity and remain in <br />ƌźƓĻ ǞźƷŷ ƷŷĻ /źƷǤ͸ƭ tƌğƓƓźƓŭ ƭƷğŅŅ ğƓķtƌğƓƓźƓŭ /ƚƒƒźƭƭźƚƓ͸ƭ ƩĻĭƚƒƒĻƓķğƷźƚƓʹ <br />(4)Any detached accessory structure that is not a garage shall be located only within the <br />rear yard.
