City of Centerville <br />Parks & Recreation Meeting <br />June 4, 2025 <br />1.None <br />V.UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />1.Fiore Tree Grant Application <br />Chairperson Errickson-Grahekgave an update on the Hometown Grant. She stated the total <br />amount requested was $50,000 and that the applicationwas due on June 20, 2025. Chairperson <br />Errickson-Grahek stated that if the enhancements of electricity, and irrigation werenot purchased, <br />the tree would be $25,000. <br />2.Tree Plan <br />Chairperson Errickson-Grahek stated that there was no new information regarding the plan and <br />that Committee Member Fuchs would becontacting nurseries to obtain pricing and availability of <br />varieties. <br />Committee Member Port stated that she had visited playgrounds in Hugo and Rochesterwhere <br />both had trees near playgrounds. <br />A discussion ensued as to the placement of the trees, fall zones, the cost of the trees and <br />equipment. Chairperson Errickson-Grahek stated that they would be in contact with the Interim <br />Public Works Directorto discuss placement. <br />3.Pickleball Court Nets <br />Chairperson Errickson-Grahek stated that she had reviewed the pickleball net quotes of $1,800 <br />totaling $5,400 for three. <br />Motion by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by ChairpersonErrickson-Grahek to <br />rescind the committee’sprevious motion regarding nets and not to exceed $12,000. <br /> A lengthy discussion ensued regarding the storage of the nets and amenities. <br />Motion by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Chairperson Errickson-Grahek to <br />amend the cost not to exceed $10,000. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />Chairperson Errickson-Grahek stated that they would need to discuss withInterim Public Works <br />DirectorPeterson regarding storage and drainage of the hockey rink. <br />VI.NEW BUSINESS <br />1.Fete des Lacs 5/8K Run & Paddle Event (update) <br />Chairperson Errickson-Grahek introduced Ms. NissaLarson.
