City of Centerville <br />Park & Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br />August 6, 2025 <br />staff and the vendor earlier this week. <br />Main Street Market is in full swing on Thursdays from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Vendor participation has <br />included an average of 15-20 vendors and 3-4 food vendors. Public participation wasaverage, with <br />the week of Fete des Lacs exceeding 860attendees.A Park & Rec table is set up to provide <br />information to attendees on events in the parks. 5-6 volunteers are needed for Kids’ Night on <br />August 21, 2025, along with the other Main Street Market dates. <br />One quote has been received for the resurfacing of Eagle Park’s Tennis/Pickleball Courtfor <br />$10,270. The crack willbe repaired, but there is no guarantee the crack will remain repaired. <br />Striping the pickleball courts at Laurie LaMotteMemorialPark hockey rink is $2,700. Another <br />quote will be obtained. <br />Athanasia Lewis has been named the new City Administrator. <br />The Committee Members were requested to participate in a survey for the city. <br /> <br />2.Committee Member Updates – Disc Golf, LaMotte Play Structure, and Pickleball <br />Committee Member Peterson provided an update on the Fete des Lacs Paddle Event and Music in <br />the Parkpreviously during the meeting. <br />2. Council Liaison Update <br />Councilmember Kubat provided an update. <br />A request was received from Toby Loomis to have a lemonade stand at the ski shows, and <br />unfortunately, the cityand the Ski Club have an agreement thatonly allows for their sales of <br />merchandise and small items on Thursday evenings. <br />IX.ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Committee Member Akpan, seconded by Committee Member Freiermuthto <br />adjourn the August 6, 2025, Parks &Recreation Regularly Scheduled Committee Meeting <br />at 7:52p.m.All in favor.
