City of Centerville <br />City Council Work Session & Meeting Minutes <br />July 9, 2025 <br /> <br /> (i) Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski stated that the Commission <br />held the public hearing and provided their recommendation regarding the variance and also <br />discussed language modifications to the City Code. <br />(ii) Centennial Fire District Steering Committee – Council Member Koski stated that the <br />rd <br />Fire Steering meeting would be held on the 3 week of July. <br />(iii) Anoka County Fire Protection Council – Council Member Koski gave no report. <br /> <br />c. Rios - <br />(i) Economic Development Authority – Council Member Rios stated that the EDA met, <br />reviewed their 2026 Budget and that President Remillard would be presenting the budget <br />to council shortly. She reported that she and City Administrator Lewis had recently visited <br />the businesses across from City Hall and spoke with them and requested promotional items <br />from them to promote their business’ during Fete des Lacs. <br /> <br />d. Mosher – <br />(i) Economic Development Authority – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br />(ii) Centennial Lakes Police Department Governing Board – Council Member Mosher <br />gave no report. <br /> <br />e. Golden – <br />(i) Centennial Lakes Police Department Governing Board – Mayor Golden stated that the <br />next meeting was scheduled for August 11, 2025. <br />(iii) North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Mayor Golden stated that next <br />meeting was scheduled for July 14, 2025. <br />(iv) Other Mayoral Reports – Mayor Golden stated that there had been a lot of discussion <br />about SBM. She also thanked all the Lions and volunteers in the preparation for Fete des <br />Lacs. Mayor Golden stated that the parade committee was hosting a veteran’s float and if <br />there were any veteran’s that would like to participate, they could reach out to City Hall. <br /> <br />f. Jr. Council Member Wynn – Jr. Council Member Wynn stated that fall sport signup had begun <br />and she highly encouraged youth to play sports and participate in school programs. <br /> <br />g. Attorney Glaser – Attorney Glaser stated that he wanted to reiterate how nice it was to see Ms. <br />Moore, Alexandra House, and how they are really an integral part of the community. He stated <br />that there is a direct line between what happens, the Centennial Lakes Police Department, <br />Alexandra House and how impactful they are serving people in need. Attorney Glaser stated that <br />perhaps the council would consider donating to them in the future. He stated that every dollar that <br />a city spends is less than CLPD would have to spend on his office. He felt that they were a great <br />organization and tool for individuals. <br /> <br /> Attorney Glaser stated that Council Member Mosher has been great to work with for so long. He <br />said that he knows Council Member Mosher is in a good place because he gets to play golf and <br />it’s warm. Attorney Glaser stated “Happy trails, take care and thank you” to Mr. Mosher. <br /> <br /> Council Member Mosher thanked the entire council, stated that it had been an honor to service the <br />community and that he would miss Centerville. <br /> <br />Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
