City of Centerville <br />City Council Work Session & Meeting Minutes <br />July 9, 2025 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Rios, seconded by Council Member Koski to approve the <br />recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission for the variance with the conditions <br />of approval as stated by the Findings of Fact in the staff report. Roll-Call: Mayor Golden, Council <br />Members Koski, Mosher and Rios – Yay. Council Member Kubat Nay. Motion carried 4 to 1. <br /> <br />Council Member Kubat wanted the Planning & Zoning Commission to consider a code amendment prior <br />to granting the variance as he felt that accessory structures and detached garages may need additional <br />definition within the code along with size requirements. <br /> <br />2. Res. #25-0XX – Honoring Council Member Darrin Mosher for his Service to the City of <br />Centerville <br /> <br />Council Member Koski read Res. 25-0XX - Honoring Council Member Mosher for his years of service to <br />the city. The Council wished Mr. Mosher the best and thanked him for his many years of service. <br /> <br />Motion by Koski, seconded by Mayor Golden to Adopt Res. #25-023 - Honoring Council Member <br />Mosher for his services to the city. <br /> <br />Council Member Rios stated that she was going to miss Mr. Moshers organizational history, the memory <br />and the kindness in his heart that he brought to council which had been so valuable to her, even in the <br />short time that they worked together. Council Member Rios stated that she appreciated him and thanked <br />him for all of his contributions. <br /> <br />Council Member Kubat stated that it was not goodbye forever, but it was farewell for now. <br /> <br />City Administration Lewis stated that she echoes all the same thoughts and appreciated the opportunity of <br />working with Mr. Mosher on EDA. She stated that he had brought forward may differing perspectives <br />and ideas. <br /> <br />Roll-Call: Mayor Golden, Council Members Koski, Kubat and Rios. Council Member Mosher <br />Abstained. Motion carried. <br /> <br />X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMETS <br /> <br />Administrator’s Report – City Administrator Lewis reviewed the report contained in Council’s <br />packet and addressed all questions. <br /> <br />1. Council Report <br /> <br />a. Kubat - <br />(i) Parks & Recreation Committee – Council Member Kubat stated that the Parks & <br />Recreation meeting had been cancelled. <br />(ii) Centennial Fire District Steering Committee – Council Member Kubat gave no update. <br />(iii) Planning & Zoning Commission - Council Member Kubat gave no report. <br /> <br />b.
