CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />r teryiCCe <br />Estabf2:shed 1857 <br />Agenda Item: Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />VIA(Administration/Public Works February 26, 2026 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />6996 Brian Drive Backyard Drainage Project <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />At the December 12, 2025 City Council Meeting, Special Assessment Agreements and Waivers were approved <br />for 6996 Brian Drive, 1932 and 1940 Eagle Trail. These agreements were for completion of a backyard <br />draining project. The City has since received the lowest bidder's (Olson's Excavating Service) undated proposal <br />for the entire Project, which is $57,796.39. The Proposal is higher than their original bid of $54,005.34, due to <br />material cost increases. The work is tentatively scheduled for June, 2026. The residents of 6996 Brian Drive <br />have agreed to pay for their portion of the project which is $14,196.40, and this includes $2,000 for the 1922 <br />Eagle Trail homeowners' Portion.
