CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville’s Parks & Recreation Committee <br />held their Regularly Scheduled Meeting on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at Laurie <br />LaMotte Memorial Park. <br />REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING <br />I.CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Heidi Errickson-Grahekcalled the Regularly Scheduled Meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Committee to order on September 3, 2025,at 6:30 p.m. <br />1.ROLL CALL <br />Present: Chairperson Heidi Errickson-Grahek <br />Committee Member Emem Akpan <br />Committee Member Kathy Freiermuth <br />Committee Member Ashley Fuchs <br />Committee Member Brian Peterson <br />NotApproved <br />Committee Member Katya Port <br />Absent: Committee Member Deanna Loomis <br />Also Present:CityClerk, Teresa Bender <br /> Council Liaison David Kubat <br /> City Administrator Athanasia Lewis <br /> <br />II.APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Chairperson Errickson-Grahek asked if there were modifications to the agenda and hearing none. <br />Motion by Chairperson Errickson-Grahek, seconded by Committee Member Fuchsto <br />approve the agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />III.AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br />1.RC Course <br />Mr. Justin Durrant, 1839 Laramee Lane and Mr. Jonathan Remarick, 1852 Laramee Lane, both <br />introduced themselves to the Committee. Mr. Durrant stated that he and Mr. Remarick were remote <br />thth <br />control vehicle hobbyist (1/10, 1/17to 1/16) scale, that the vehicles cost around $100-$200, that <br />they provide skill building, community focus, outdoor recreation, hands on learning and felt that <br />it would be a good use of open space in Acorn Creek Park.
