City of Centerville <br />Parks & Recreation Meeting <br />September 3, 2025 <br />Chairperson Errickson-Graheksuggested the organization of an Open House of Laurie LaMotte <br />Memorial Park due to the completion of the new play structure, pickleball court stripping and the <br />installation of the disc golf course. She stated that Council Members could be invited, gift give- <br />a-way could be had, lessons could be given for both the pickleball and disc golf activities along <br />with popcorn being served, etc. Consensus was that this was a great opportunity to get the public <br />out to experience the new amenities at the park. <br />Chairperson Errickson-Grahek stated that two pieces were saved to be placed at Royal Meadows <br />Park in the spring. <br />Committee Member Peterson stated that Music in the Park went well this year and that he would <br />like to increase the budget slightly for 2026 and maybe add more events. <br />3.Council Liaison Updates – <br />Council Liaison Kubat stated that the preliminary budget contains a raise in the levy due to public <br />safety increases and that the Council appointed Council Member Linda Broussard Vickers as the <br />Parks & Recreation Committee Liaison with Council Member Rios being the alternate. <br />IX.ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member Ememto adjourn <br />theSeptember 9, 2025,Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting at 8:31 p.m. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br />Transcribed and submitted by: Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />Page 5 of 5 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />
