PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Koski provided an opportunity for staff and council to add or delete items. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Rios to Approve the <br />Set Agenda as Presented. Roll Call: Mayor Golden, Council Members Broussard Vickers, Koski <br />and Rios in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />IV. APPOINTMENTS & PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />1. None. <br /> <br />V. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />1. Local Board of Appeal & Equalization <br /> <br />Ms. Mary Wells, City Assessor, provided an overview of their annual presentation which was included in <br />Council’s packet. She introduced Mr. Chris Larson, Mr. Erik Skogquist and Ms. Diana Stellmach, Senior <br />Manager, Commerical/Industrial/Anoka County. <br /> <br />Mayor Golden stated that she appreciated Ms. Wells meeting with residents who had concerns regarding <br />their property taxes and valuations prior to this evening. <br /> <br />Mr. Erik Skogquist, City Assessor, reviewed the Commercial/Industrial portion of the presentation. He <br />stated that if property owners decided to continue to appeal their valuations, they would go on to tax court. <br />He also stated that they continue to pay their amount due and based on the court decision, if monies are <br />due back to the property owner it is paid back and with interest. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Koski opened the Public Hearing at 6:32 p.m. <br /> <br />No members of the public were present. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Rios, seconded by Council Member Broussard, to close the Public <br />Hearing at 6:37 p.m. Roll Call: Mayor Golden, Council Members Broussard, Koski, and Rios in <br />favor.
