City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 27, 2006 <br />City Administrator Larson explained that in the agreement the property owners have until <br />November 1, 2006, to prepay without interest but it took an extra month to get the project <br />going and the property owners have asked to extend prepayment to December 1, 2006. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />an extension to prepay to December 1, 2006. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1.City Administrator, Mr. Dallas Larson <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the County is considering bump outs at <br />Centerville Road. He also reported that Staff is still waiting for comment on the MOU <br />submitted by the City. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained that the demo of buildings in Block 7 will begin as <br />soon as the response is received from the PCA. He also indicated that the City has asked <br />to use a garage for the squads and Staff will continue to negotiate that arrangement with <br />the County. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that he received a call from Ronnie Burque and he <br />would like to purchase the Studebaker fire truck as his grandfather was Mayor at the time <br />the fire truck was purchased. <br /> <br />Council asked Staff to work with him regarding a purchase agreement. <br /> <br />2. CSAH 14 (Update) <br /> <br /> Nothing further. <br /> <br /> 3. Downtown Redevelopment <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that the East Block 7 project has a spend down <br />requirement by the end of the year and the City is a little behind where they should have <br />been on that and Staff will work on getting the funds spent down. Staff is also looking at <br />using remaining funds to buy the parcel next to the land that the City owns to build the <br />pond. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked if the City can apply for the funds not spent this year. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated it may be possible. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway, to <br />authorize securing proposals for construction of utilities to serve Block 7 and to look <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />
