City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 11, 2006 <br /> <br />Council Member Terway agreed but said that the issues did not go away just because the <br />price of asphalt was going up and down. He then said that he would like Staff to be extra <br />diligent to ensure that all the testing is done appropriately and Staff should be even more <br />diligent than the standard to ensure that it is done right. <br /> <br />Engineer Statz indicated that there is a two-year warranty after completion. <br /> <br />Engineer Statz recommended that Council approve the change order. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Terway, to <br />st <br />approve the Change Order for 21 Avenue/Backage Road as recommended by Staff. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Olson’s Sewer Service, Inc., Olson’s Excavating Service Demolition Bid 1601 <br />LaMotte Drive - $15,744.98 <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson suggested waiting to see if a legitimate buyer that can move <br />the building is available within 30 days otherwise the bid from Olson’s should be <br />considered for approval. <br /> <br />Council agreed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Lee, to <br />authorize demolition of 1601 LaMotte Drive by Olson’s Sewer Service, Inc., Olson’s <br />Excavating Service Demolition Bid of $15,744.98 if no viable proposal to move the <br />building is received. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> 1. Proposed Ordinance #XX, Second Series – Amending Chapter 111 of the <br />Centerville Code Insurance Requirements <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained that this is an attempt to amend the Code to allow <br />Council more time to process a proposed suspension of license. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />Ordinance #XX, Second Series – Amending Chapter 111 of the Centerville Code <br />Insurance Requirements. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> 2.
