City of Centerville <br />Planning & Zoning Meeting Minutes <br />October 3, 2006 <br /> <br />Chair Hanson asked whether the metal would be textured to prevent glare off the metal. <br /> <br />The Architect explained that it is corrugated. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Love, to set a public <br />hearing for November 14, 2006. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Comprehensive Plan Review <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson suggested reviewing the goals and objectives and policies <br />rather than a full revision since the City does not have much in the way of undeveloped <br />land. He then explained that the City would not have a Planner on board until the first of <br />the year and there would be a lot of work for that person to do to ensure that the <br />Metropolitan Council requirements are met. <br /> <br />Commissioner Pangell asked when this deadline is. City Administrator Larson indicated <br />the deadline is near the end of 2008. <br /> <br />Chair Hanson indicated that he would like to look at rezoning property along Main Street <br />th <br />to commercial as well as property along 20 Avenue to commercial. <br /> <br />th <br />The Commission and Staff discussed rezoning property along 20 Avenue and agreed to <br />consider rezoning the property north of the creek to commercial. <br /> <br />Commissioner Klennert Hunt said that she would like to find out what is going on across <br />the border in Lino Lakes to match it and make it attractive to locate in Centerville. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson asked the Commission to review and bring forward any goals, <br />objectives or priorities that should be removed or updated. <br /> <br />V. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Reschedule November Meeting Due to General Election to November 14, 2006 <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Pangell, seconded by Commissioner Klennert Hunt, to <br />reschedule the November Planning Commission meeting to November 14, 2006.
