City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />November 8, 2006 <br />City Administrator Larson stated that Mr. Meyer is working with the Beard Group <br />regarding TIF and that a scheduled meeting was forthcoming. <br /> <br /> 4. Centerville/Recycle Signage Replacement <br /> <br /> City Administrator Larson indicated that recycling signs will be purchased with SCORE <br /> funds. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that he desired that Council consider upgrading the City of <br />Centerville sign along Main Street and Centerville Road. Mayor Capra stated that the <br />sesquicentennial committee is researching this issue with the historical society and may <br />be incorporating same with the celebration. <br /> <br /> 5. Centerville Sesquicentennial <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that the Quad Community Press recently completed a booklet that <br />was distributed with the White Bear Press commemorating 125 years for White Bear <br />Lake. The Committee is considered a similar booklet containing photos and history. The <br />County may also be interested. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that the Committee is interested in making scanners available for the <br />public to bring in old photos, provide historical information and etc. for use in the <br />Sesquicentennial materials. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar thanked all of Council and Staff for the condolences and kind <br />words of support while he was dealing with his father’s death. He also thanked everyone <br />for the donation. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated that the Parks and Recreation Committee received <br />coupons for the open skate at the Super Rink and he would be obtaining additional <br />information regarding additional amenities individuals may receive with the coupons. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that the Committee desired to dedicate the new park at 1601 <br />LaMotte Drive as part of the sesquicentennial celebration and open it during Fete des <br />Lacs. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar also stated that the Committee would be forwarding <br />recommendations for replacement of some of the skate park equipment.. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated that the owner of Lots 4, 5 and 5A, Peltier Preserve is <br />interested in selling the parcels to the City and the Committee has requested purchase <br />information from the individual. The City originally was to receive a small parcel with <br />the developers agreement; however, it has been deteremined that Gonyea Homes may not <br />have deeded the property to the City per the agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />
