<br />Mr. Rehbein's surveyor clarified that the hold up is the feasibility study for bringing <br />water to the development. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that Council could make a motion to approve the <br />preliminary plat conditioned upon further review of Mound Trail bonding, the water main <br />extension, and the trail. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member <br />Nelson to approve the preliminary plat for The Shores conditioned upon further <br />review of Mound Trail bonding. the water main extension. and the trail location and <br />specifications. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Rehbein indicated he could design the plat with the water main assuming it is coming <br />in and proceed with the process. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked if there was a reason that one well could not service several <br />houses. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated it was not a good idea. <br /> <br />Mr. Rehbein indicated that it was not uncommon for septic systems to be shared but said <br />it is not advisable to share water supplies. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis asked if there was an easement for the lift station. Mr. Palzer <br />indicated that there was. <br /> <br />Mr. Rehbein's surveyor indicated he had been told that Mound Trail was vacated. He <br />then questioned whether the utilities maintained their rights when the road was vacated. <br />City Engineer Peterson indicated that the easements for utilities were still there. <br /> <br />Mr. Rehbein questioned if there would be a problem with where the County and the City <br />would like the trail located. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that the County and City trail may be one <br />in the same and noted that there would need to be an easement for trail way included in <br />the final plat. <br /> <br />Mr. Rehbein asked how he would receive direction concerning the trailway. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers directed Staff to contact the Park and Recreation <br />Committee to determine the recommendation for the trail location and to contact Mr. <br />Rehbein with the information. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member <br />Capra to order a feasibility study to extend the water main to The Shores from <br /> <br />Page 10 of23 <br />
